Our Journey.

In 2013, God gave us a clear call to give our lives to church planting in the Northeast.  After visiting Portland, Maine on a vision trip, there was no doubt where God was leading, and now there is nothing I'm more passionate about than making disciples of Christ and planting gospel-centered churches.

In 2011, while serving as a student pastor, I began to ask God, "How will I make my life count for your glory?"  I began to search the Bible for the answer.  As I read about the life of Paul, Peter, John, and many more, and considered the teachings of Jesus, I was consumed by two things: Treasuring Christ and Making Disciples.  This became my passion.  I wrapped everything in my life around these two guiding principles.

Over the next few years, God not only increased these passions, but gave me greater clarity on what it would practically look like in my wife's and my own life.  If we really wanted to make our lives count, it would be through the avenue that God has already ordained and set apart for His glory... His church.

God had given me a passion and a purpose. I just needed a context in which to live it out.  After much prayer and research, the Northeastern area of the US really burdened our hearts.

After visiting the Northeast a few times, I became overwhelmed by the great need for churches in that area of the United States.  On one particular vision trip, we were visiting a friend in Boston and decided to visit Portland, Maine while we were nearby.  On the drive from the Portland Airport to our hotel, God began stirring in our hearts.  Within a day, we felt at home and had a great love for Portland and its people.

We pursued this call over the next few months and it was confirmed over and over again.  We are now trusting God to actualize this vision for a church that earnestly seeks to treasure Christ and make disciples in Portland and around the world.

The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became Man for no other purpose.
